My friend has a daughter who loves a few things (in this exact order): Bees, fairies, and Pokemon. So, I thought I would design something for her to try to see if she likes diamond painting – a bee fairy! And if she doesn’t want to make it, I’ll make it for her and she can hang it up. She seemed to love the ones she saw, though, so maybe we’ll have another sparkly addiction fan soon, who knows.

This is my take on a cute bee fairy, and her magical garden in a magical city. It features a ton of specialty drills to really make it pop, and while her skin tone might seem a little weird on the mock up image (using DMC colors), it will look a bit smoother in actual drills, as I pulled out alllllll of my swatches to make sure it was a nice gradient.

I hope you (and she!) love it, and pictures when we get the sample done and photographed.

Inspired by the wagon from “IT: Welcome to Derry” I knew I had to design something fun and dark. I hope this encapsulates the fun of the character for you.

Get your systems ready for some retro fun! Featuring your favorite retro systems from Famicom on up, these are sure to give you a hit of nostalgia just looking at it. Add in bright colors and some tunes and you’ll be ready to rock, especially if you’re like me with fond memories of that Duck Hunt gun.

The background on this one is so full of sparkle that the controllers will seem to jump off the canvas at you. A great piece to adorn a gaming space – retro or otherwise.

Rubber duckies! So many of them for your bath time enjoyment! Plus, there’s a few special ones in the mix – ultra-shiny yellow duckies and their friend, sparkly white duckies.

This design is more than half shiny drills – a mix of AB and fairy dust shimmers will really make this design pop. Don’t worry, too, the other rubber duckies will be brightly colored, too (they’re just darkened a bit in the mock up to show you where the shiny ones are!). A great design for a kids room, bathroom, or just anywhere you want a pop of color. And the 40x40cm size means it’s not too big of a project to take on, but still detailed enough to not be boring – the best mix of all!

It’s time to party like it’s 1989 with this cool pug!

I made this art as kind of a cathartic thing after the passing of my grandmother. She loved her pug, Jelly, who was both the stupidest and sweetest dog in existence. She had an attitude all of her own, which mirrored my grandma’s, and definitely knew how to party!

So enjoy this awesome pug, who is out to have a blast with her keytar and vaporwave backgrounds. All you need is an airbrushed tee and a pair of shades and you’re set to go.

The background on this one is really crazy, with basically everything being special drills, including a whole boatload of glow in the dark. I kept the AB to a minimum because, let’s face it, they’re generally frustrating to use, so I kept them just where they’d need to be for the most oomph, but not enough to make you want to throw your pen across the room in frustration. This will light up the night, that’s for sure!

Nothing better in the winter than snuggling up with a good book, a cozy kitty, and a hot cup of coffee IMO. So this is for those that love these simple pleasures in life.

The design is roughly based off of a drawing I did ages ago, but didn’t really translate to pixel work very well. It was too much blank space, so I reworked it. And yes, the cat changed from a white cat (based off of my mother’s deaf kitty Yuki) to an orange tabby because I love the colors. And I’m a sucker for tabbies.

The text is all metal like drills that I love to use, adding that gold leaf feel, and the background is very, very sparkly with a mix of fairy and AB drills. It has a lot of colors, but isn’t too difficult to make, but also not too boring that you’ll speed through it and be sick of solid colors. I hope it’s a good mix of relaxing enjoyment and fun.

Just kind of how I’ve been feeling lately, ya know? And this random meme caught me off guard with how real it was:

Too real, right? And since my friend loves succulents, I thought it would make a good background design, too. It’s detailed to keep it interesting, but not too much that if you make a mistake and place the wrong one somewhere, it won’t be noticeable. So chill out, have a cup of tea, and hope this all blows over soon.

Also, more of my love of pixeling text, in the loving tradition of dirty cross stitching, which is what started me on that hobby oh so many years ago.

Back to some nostalgia, how about a poster we all vaguely remember from childhood? The cat, hanging in a tree, with “Hang In There” written on it. I think I recall at least 3 versions of it that I’ve seen in my life, probably more. Heck, I probably owned one myself!

Well, now is your chance to make your own poster of this grumpy guy! I had so much fun designing his face, I actually giggled a lot while I was illustrating it. I may actually take my rough sketch and make a full print poster of it just for the heck of it, whenever I have the time at least.

But, now you can have your own little curmudgeon who somehow got into a pickle. His face will definitely brighten a bad day!

My take on the “god forbid women have hobbies” meme – I mean, I love all things witchy so why not?

This one was a beast to design, as it went through maybe 5 iterations before I settled on a sort of chibi style for the witch herself, and I’m so glad I stuck with it.

Also, this one is insanely shiny. Basically the whole background is fairy dust shimmery drills, and who doesn’t love some extra sparkle? I also love doing text, can’t you tell?

So, here’s to you and your hobbies, no matter how eclectic they may be!

I love cryptids. My favorite cryptid is probably the Mothman, because he’s just so chill and spooky. I don’t think he really is out to get anyone, just wants to warn you about the bridge! His glowing red eyes, however, are the biggest feature of him, so of course, they feature prominently here. And yes, the drills do in fact glow.

I also wanted to challenge myself to design using the least amount of colors possible, and keep it to only one or two actual colors, the rest being blacks and gray. I think I did it pretty well, and I cannot wait to get my sample in and make it for myself. He’s cool, after all.
